Incorporated on October 19, 1876
Hillsboro settlers founded this community in 1842, later named it after David Hill, an Oregon politician. Hillsboro hosts many high-technology companies, such as Intel, locally known as the Silicon Forest.
The City of Hillsboro, known as “The Hub City”, and Washington County always embraces local cultural equality, diversity, inclusion, equity and has many historic business-friendly neighborhoods.
